Salted Caramel Brownies
These brownies are pure indulgence - rich chocolate batter layered with homemade salted caramel. They’re on the pricier side to make, but worth every bite when you want to treat yourself or impress someone with a proper dessert moment.

Ingredients
For the caramel:
· 150 g sugar
· Splash of water
· 100 ml cream
· Pinch of salt
For the brownies:
· 225 g butter
· 300 g chocolate (dark or semi-sweet)
· 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
· 1/2 cup cocoa powder
· 4 eggs
· 1 cup plain flour
Method
1. Make the caramel:
o In a small saucepan, combine sugar and a splash of water.
o Heat gently without stirring until it turns deep amber.
o Remove from heat, carefully stir in cream, and add a pinch of salt. Let cool.
2. Make the brownie batter:
o In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate together until smooth.
o Remove from heat and whisk in brown sugar and cocoa.
o Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each.
o Stir in flour until just combined.
3. Assemble and bake:
o Pour half the batter into a lined tin.
o Swirl in some cooled caramel.
o Top with the remaining batter and more caramel swirls.
o Bake at 170°C fan for 25–35 minutes, until the centre has a slight wobble.
o Let cool completely in the tin before slicing.
