Budget-Friendly Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cookie cravings don’t have to break the bank. This cheap chocolate chip cookie recipe uses pantry staples and still delivers soft, flavoured cookies with a crisp edge. Bonus - you can skip the chocolate for an even cheaper bake!

Ingredients
100 g plain oil (any neutral oil)
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons yogurt (or milk, or coconut cream for vegan)
1 1/3 cups flour (or gluten-free flour)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Optional: 1 small bar of chocolate, broken into squares
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).
Mix together oil, sugar, and yogurt until smooth.
Add flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
Roll dough into golf ball-sized portions and flatten slightly on a lined baking tray.
If using, press a square of chocolate into the centre of each cookie.
Bake for 13-16 minutes until edges are crisp and centres soft.
Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
