Hash Browns
Crispy, golden, and made with just a few simple ingredients — these homemade hashbrowns are super budget-friendly, naturally gluten-free, and absolutely delicious. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a snack.
Ingredients:
1 large potato per person
1 tsp cornflour (or cornstarch) per potato
Oil for frying
Salt, to taste
Method:
Peel and grate the potatoes using the small side of a box grater for the best texture.
Squeeze out as much liquid as you can from the grated potato using your hands or a clean tea towel. This helps get them nice and crispy.
Add cornflour and salt, then mix really well with your hands. Keep going for at least 3 minutes until everything is fully combined and slightly sticky.
Heat a thin layer of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Form thin patties with the potato mixture and carefully place them in the pan. Fry until golden and crispy on both sides.
Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
Notes:
You could try these in the air fryer too — just brush with a little oil and cook until golden and crispy.
Naturally gluten-free and so easy to make!
